Who We Are

Who We Are

We are CID – specialists in interior fit-out and construction with over 30 years of hands-on experience shaping spaces across the UK. From our early days in Cornwall to our current base in rural Rutland, we’ve grown steadily by staying true to what matters: doing good quality work, building strong relationships, and never cutting corners.

Our roots are in dry lining, metal stud partitioning and suspended ceilings – the essential bones of a space. But more than that, we bring order to complex builds. We understand how interiors come together, how trades overlap, and how to keep a site calm, safe, and progressing forward.

We work with national contractors, architects and clients to deliver interiors that are practical, durable and built to spec. Our team is a mix of long-standing core operatives and locally sourced skilled subcontractors, all fully trained, certified, and trusted to deliver work we’re proud to put our name to.

At our heart, we’re problem-solvers and builders. Quietly confident, deeply reliable, and always thinking two steps ahead.

Company Values

At CID, our values are the foundation beneath every project we take on. First and foremost, we believe in doing things properly. That means precision in our craft, honesty in our communications, and pride in every finish. We don’t cut corners. Not in safety, not in standards, and never in how we treat people. Quality workmanship is non-negotiable, whether we’re fitting out a flagship retail space or delivering a small industrial build, we take pride in being a company that turns up, delivers what we promised, and leaves behind work we’re proud of. Safety is equally central: every team member is trained, accredited, and committed to keeping sites safe, secure and compliant. We value consistency – showing up, staying sharp, and building trust with clients over the long term. Many of our partners have been with us for years, because they know what to expect: a straight-talking, skilled team that gets the job done. Responsiveness, responsibility, and respect – that’s the CID way.
