Construction Interior Design Limited has now been trading for over thirty years having been formed in 1992 by the current Managing Director, Barrie Mohammed.
Originally located in the county of Cornwall, the principal activity of the company was the installation and repair of suspended ceilings, fire protection, specialist cladding and linings together with partitioning.
Operating predominantly as a subcontractor, the expertise of both the management and dedicated team of operatives was based upon many years of previous experience dating back to the introduction of suspended ceilings and specialist decorative cladding systems in the United Kingdom.
Trading was not limited to the locality but rather the business offered a nationwide service, undertaking repeat work for existing clients and reaching new clients with the increased geography.
In 2002, the company relocated initially to Peterborough, then Colsterworth and finally to the office and warehouse facility in Ashwell, near Oakham, providing a much more central location from which to run the business. This relocation presented opportunities to recruit additional members of the management team increasing the spectrum of expertise and complementing its existing strengths.
The company has long term working relationships with several national contractors, providing a wide range of services including the supply and installation of dry linings, metal stud partitions and suspended ceilings.
The company employs a core of partitioning and ceiling fixers complimented by a network of locally sourced subcontractors, many of whom have worked for the company over a period of many years. All of our Supervisors are SSSTS trained, and all employees are CSCS, IPAF and PASMA trained.
Projects have been completed for a diverse range of clients, historically in the retail sector for end users such as Next, Primark, Sainsburys and M&S, but more recently in a range of other sectors for end users such as Yorkshire Building Society, Leeds Trinity University, Royal Veterinary College and the NHS to name but a few. Contract values range from £5,000 to £3,500,000.
CID have completed a number of projects for me including a refurbishment of a substantial grade 2 listed coach house in Rutland. The original structure is from 1780 and CID have completed the refurbishment to create a luxury executive home. Excellent company, excellent service and I would highly recommend them.
